Hello Under the Tustin Sun readers! It has been a while since we posted anything but we are so happy to see you here! Going forward, we plan to post a monthly blog about ourselves, the real estate market and things to do or see under the Tustin sun. 

In today’s post, I want to introduce myself and tell you more about how my mom and I began working together as The Legacy Group. I will start with me – my name is Hailey and I am Bonnie’s second child and only daughter. I grew up in Tustin where we moved between Lemon Heights and Cowan Heights and this gave me a strong appreciation for the nature and beauty of our community. Growing up, my friends and I would always discuss how we cannot wait to come back to Tustin after college to raise our families here because we can’t imagine having a more ideal childhood. Only twenty minutes to the beach and an hour and a half to either the snow or the desert with amazing sunny weather year round. So many kids dream of leaving their home towns but when you grow up here, it’s quite the opposite which speaks volumes about what an idyllic place Tustin is.

After graduating with a degree in Communications from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2015, I moved back to Orange County and worked as a tech Recruiter for 5 years. When the pandemic hit, I found myself having extra time so I went online and got my Real Estate License since my mom, dad, uncle and grandma are all in the business. My mom was more than happy to have me around to help out with open houses and showings while I was studying. After seeing how fun it is I knew I wanted to leave recruiting and do real estate full time. Slowly over the past two years I have learned an immense amount about the industry from my mom. She is not only an expert on the area and with the business, but she is unbelievably good with people on a personal level and every single client of hers would say the same. I am incredibly lucky to work alongside her and be mentored by the very best. 

We thought to call ourselves the Legacy Group because my grandma and mom’s mom, Bobby Douglas, founded our brokerage, Seven Gables, that is now the top selling firm in the area and has been for over 30 years. She started it as one of the first boutique real estate firms in the area with the goal of 

providing our clients with an unfaltering high standard of care and being leading examples in our communities. As a third generation female agent, I feel honored to be continuing my grandma and mom’s legacy of being trusted real estate advisors. We know Bobby is looking down from heaven every day smiling with pride to see her girls keeping her business alive and growing closer to each other in the process. Caring about other people’s needs just comes naturally to us because our clients are family, and family means everything to us.
